Job Description
Location: This position is located in Murrells Inlet, SC.
Required Education
High School Degree or Equivalent
Work Experience: None required. Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Scribe preferred
Job Duties
30% Accompany the physician into the exam room, documenting in the EMR all aspects of patient care to include, chief compliant, history of presenting illness, physical exam, physician orders for additional testing, and patient plan as directed by the provider.
25% During non-clinical time, will pre-chart for Gynecologic Oncology physicians for the following week’s patients scheduled in clinic, including summarization of outside medical records and testing.
20%Document physical examination findings and procedures as performed by the provider. Document the results of diagnostic imaging and laboratory studies, as dictated by the provider.
10% Facilitating the communication and coordination between the physician and other staff members in order to complete patient care tasks such as tests, labs, imaging, and medical records
10% Tracking various elements of the patient chart to notify the physician when all documentation requirements are complete.
5% Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
Continuous requirements are to work indoors; possess good finger dexterity; maintain tactile sensory functions; maintain 20/40 vision corrected in one eye or with both eyes; maintain good peripheral vision capabilities; and maintain hearing acuity with correction.
Frequent requirements are to perform job functions while standing/upright, sitting, and walking/mobile; fully use both hands and arms; perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders; perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements; reach in all directions; see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance; match or discriminate between colors; determine distance and relationship between objects including depth perception; and hear and/or understand whispered conversations at a distance of 3 feet.
Infrequent requirements are to kneel and squat to perform job functions; perform pinching operations; lift and carry 15 lbs. unassisted; lift objects up to 15 lbs. from floor level to a height of 36 inches unassisted; and push or pull objects up to 15 lbs. unassisted.
