Duties
- Lead and manage tour groups with enthusiasm, ensuring safety and enjoyment throughout the experience
- Deliver engaging tour storytelling using effective presentation and communication skills to captivate guests
- Coordinate logistics for tours, including scheduling, route planning, and group management
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs, questions, and feedback promptly
- Maintain safety standards by applying wilderness safety protocols and first aid/CPR procedures when necessary
- Build rapport with guests through personalized interactions and cultural insights in multiple languages if applicable
- Conduct public speaking engagements to educate guests about local history, culture, or natural features
Requirements
- Bilingual (Japanese and English) proficiency to communicate effectively with guests.
- Valid driver's license (CDL holders are welcome)
- Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding tour groups of varying sizes
- Experience in tour guiding or outdoor work environments preferred
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills to engage audiences confidently
- Knowledge of foreign languages is a plus to enhance guest interactions
- Proven ability to manage time efficiently while coordinating multiple aspects of tours Effective communication skills for storytelling techniques and educational teaching methods
- Experience in outdoor activities or adventure tourism is highly desirable
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
