Clinical Pharmacist – Utilization ManagementContract to Hire | RemotePay Rate: $55–60/hourEmployment Type: Contract-to- Possible HireLocation: 100% RemoteSchedule: 32 hours/weekPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join a collaborative, team-oriented pharmacy environment supporting the organization’s Drug Formulary and Utilization Management (UM) operations. This role functions in a clinical capacity and works closely with other pharmacists, pharmacy coordinators, and Medical Directors to ensure appropriate, compliant coverage determinations.This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential.Key ResponsibilitiesReview Utilization Management (UM) requests and issue coverage determinations in compliance with State and Federal regulationsApply clinical judgment to formulary and non-formulary decisionsProvide clinical consultation on complex cases and disease management to Medical Directors as neededManage and follow up on appeals in accordance with regulatory and internal guidelinesIdentify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing efficiencies within the departmentCollaborate with pharmacy and clinical teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentPerform other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsActive Pharmacist license (state-specific requirements apply)Clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in Utilization Management, prior authorization, or managed careStrong knowledge of State and Federal pharmacy regulationsExcellent clinical decision-making and documentation skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a distributed teamPreferred QualificationsExperience working with drug formulariesPrior managed care, health plan, or PBM experienceFamiliarity with appeals processes and disease management programsWhy This Role100% remoteCompetitive $55–60/hour payContract-to-hire possibly with long-term stabilityCollaborative clinical team environmentCompany DescriptionAbout Murtech Staffing & Solutions - We are a National Staffing Services Company with a team dedicated to solving the unique staffing challenges for our clients.
