What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Control Technician position at Murrieta Development Company Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain traffic control plans in accordance with safety regulations and project requirements
- Direct traffic and ensure the safe and efficient flow of vehicles through construction zones
- Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades
- Communicate with construction crews and drivers to provide instructions and guidance
- Monitor traffic conditions and adjust traffic control measures as needed
- Maintain a safe work area for both workers and drivers
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
Experience:
- 2-5 years previous experience as a Traffic Control Technician or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of traffic control devices and their proper usage
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and traffic control plans
- Certification in traffic control or related field is a plus
- Experience in utility locating is a plus
-5 years driving history
-Clean driving record
