This role oversees our Second Shift, providing critical leadership during key production hours.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and coach a team of production employees, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth
- Oversee daily production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and product quality
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools, targeting at least 25% of your time on process enhancements
- Champion safety by identifying risks, implementing solutions, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards
- Reduce costs through resource planning, inventory control, scrap reduction, and overtime management
- Monitor attendance, performance, and training needs, providing regular feedback and development opportunities
- Maintain high standards for organization and cleanliness using 5S methodology
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as needed to keep operations running smoothly
- Partner cross-functionally to remove production roadblocks and elevate performance
What You Bring:
- 2–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications a plus
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing concepts (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, visual management)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP experience (SAP preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including occasional weekends or overtime
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Requires manual dexterity and visual acuity to work with machinery and tools
Work Hours:
- M-F 2:30 PM- 11: 00 PM
- Onsite (Suwanee, GA)
