Controller

Well established, multi-entity company is seeking a Controller to join their team! This position will be responsible for managing overall accounting process and monthly financial statement preparation for both internal and external users.

Salary: $120,000-$160,000

Location: The Woodlands, TX – In office

Responsibilities:

• Direct accounting/GL system and interface with production system to maintain customer sales and AR records.
• Audit coordination, sales/use tax preparation and managing respective staff. Experience with intracompany, acquisitions, integrations, corporate shared services are all a plus
• Supervise cash management and reconciliation of large volume AR accounts.
• Complete journal entries and lead the month end close process.
• Produce financial-status reports for senior management to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in the company s growth.
• Maximize financial process efficiency through innovative process development.
• Ensure all transactional activities are conducted smoothly not limited to payroll, payables, receivables, chart of accounts, debt payments, cash disbursements, accruals, reconciliations, etc.
• Integrate new acquisitions into existing financial framework by having a thorough understanding of purchase accounting
• Demonstrate a hands-on approach to supervising and mentoring other members of the accounting and finance team.
• Work with outside audit and tax team for annual reports

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA preferred
• 7 years of accounting operations and leadership
• Multi-entity experience required
• Strong MS Office (advanced MS Excel)
• Strong experience working within various accounting systems; Sage, and QuickBooks preferred
• Experience supervising and mentoring a team
