Summary Description
Shop Foreman works to provide day-to-day shop oversight and field assistance as required. Ability to effectively communicate, self-manage and prioritize, maintain inventory systems, and high degree of organizational skill are required.
In a highly demanding work environment, the capacity to understand, implement, and trouble shoot tools and equipment, as well as a willingness to work independently or as a team are essential to successfully fulfilling this position. This is a dual roll split approximately 50/50 between shop and the field.
Primary Role:
- Keep shop organized and clean
- Update and maintain tool, access, uniform, and personal protective equipment inventories
- Collaborate with field management staff to efficiently mobilize, maintain, and demobilize projects
- Assist with labor as required to set up and break down projects as well as hauling and general site cleanup
- Maintain maintenance logs
- Perform basic tool and truck maintenance
- Manage tool, vehicle, machinery, and equipment service and repair
- Manage logistics regarding rented or shop provided machinery, tools, and access for up-coming and on-going projects
- Arrange for deliveries or pick up and deliver materials, tools, machinery, and equipment from vendors and job sites as required
- Operate dump trucks up to 26,000 gvw (non-CDL)
- Tow equipment
- Ensure company resources and consumable resources properly distributed
- Ability to lift 90lbs
- This role may require a variety of applications from desk work to field labor, to pre-construction planning as well as client and vendor management
- This role is vital to the efficient operation of field staff and company ability to perform to client expectations on projects
- Overtime and weekend work will be necessary to properly fulfill the role requirements
- Represent Murray Masonry & More, Corp. in a variety of settings
- Perform duties beyond those listed to properly and successfully support company
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
