Litigation Associate — Murphy Schiller & Wilkes LLP (Newark, NJ)
Location: Newark, New Jersey (One Gateway Center)
Experience: 2–5 years preferred

We are currently seeking a Litigation Associate to join our growing team at our Newark, New Jersey headquarters. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of litigation experience, with a strong interest in real estate, construction, and commercial disputes.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all phases of real estate and construction-related litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
- Manage discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production
- Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
- Collaborate with partners and clients to develop and execute effective litigation strategies
- Provide thoughtful and practical legal counsel to clients in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in New Jersey (admission in New York and/or Pennsylvania is a plus)
- 2–5 years of litigation experience, with real estate or construction litigation experience preferred
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
