Beef Production Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Beef Production Laborer to join our food processing plant. This role involves working in a fast-paced meat processing environment, ensuring the efficient and safe production of beef products. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on food safety, sanitation, and quality standards, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.

Duties

• Assist with meat cutting, trimming, and portioning according to product specifications
• Operate packaging equipment to prepare products for shipment
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with OSHA and HACCP standards
• Follow food safety protocols throughout all stages of production
• Perform quality checks to ensure product meets safety and quality standards
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance
• Adhere to all safety guidelines related to meat processing and food industry regulations
• Assist in inventory management and proper storage of raw materials and finished products

Skills

• Knowledge of OSHA, Sanitation, HACCP, and Food Safety regulations within a food processing environment
• Experience in Meat Cutting, Food Processing, or Food Industry preferred
• Strong Knife Skills and familiarity with Food Packaging techniques
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting processing equipment
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Understanding of Food Safety standards applicable to Meat Processing Plants
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards
• Ability to follow strict safety protocols and work as part of a team

Pay: From $18.30 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week

• This position starts at 0600 and works four 10-hour shifts, with possible overtime on Fridays. Are you able to consistently work this schedule and arrive on time every day?

• Orientation is held every Monday at 0630 PROMPTLY in the Mifflintown area. Are you able to attend orientation on time and start immediately if selected?
