Overview
Murphy & Grantland is looking for a Legal Assistant to assist the firms’ attorneys by opening case, drafting documents, answering phones and other related administrative duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will play a key role in preparing legal documents and answering correspondence. Responsibilities include scheduling and maintaining the attorney calendar. Knowing how to transcript dictations and typing at a fast pace. Proficiency in Federal and/or State e-filing. Maintaining important client documentation under high confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must have at least 3 years of experience as a legal assistant. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to multi-task. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a willingness to learn new software are important. Possess excellent listening skills, verbal and written communication skills. While possessing excellent organizational skills, and pay close attention to detail. Conducts self in a respectable, responsible, courteous manner.
*An Associate's is required, a Bachelor’s preferred.
*Experience in ProLaw is preferred.
Physical Demands
The physical demands for this position of sitting for long periods of time, hearing long recordings, talking on the phone, repetitive motions, typing, and hand/eye coordination.
