Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter to join our dynamic team! Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
- Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, and stucco application to create smooth finishes.
- Execute renovation and restoration projects by working with carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), masonry, drywall installation, and fixture installation.
- Manage construction site tasks such as masonry work, concrete finishing, welding (where applicable), and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting environments with construction site experience.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools necessary for surface preparation and finishing.
- Knowledge of construction estimating principles and ability to interpret blueprints or schematics.
- Familiarity with color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project planning.
- Experience with plastering, caulking, stucco application, restoration work, and fixture installation is highly desirable.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites including proper handling of materials like masonry or stucco.
- Handyman experience or background in remodeling enhances versatility; certifications in welding or airless spray techniques are a plus.
