Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Representative based in Tampa, FL. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for converting both inbound and outbound sales activities into Service Department appointments for the dealerships. Day-to-day responsibilities include fielding inbound calls and internet leads, identifying potential customers and conducting outreach efforts, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with dealership personnel to meet targets. The role involves developing and maintaining effective communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and drive business growth.


Job Duties

  • Receive inbound phone calls and online inquiries for the Service Departments of all Murphy Auto Group dealerships
  • Respond quickly and answer all customer questions to secure service appointments
  • Schedule service appointments as instructed and maintain customer records
  • Execute reminder calls to ensure industry leading customer show rates for set appointments
  • Execute missed appointments calls to reschedule when applicable
  • Maintain client relationships by identifying sales leads among new and existing customers
  • Collect and track all guest information as directed and record it appropriately into the BDC database


  • Execute warranty and recall communications on behalf of dealerships
  • Prospect for repeat customers within dealership databases and conduct outbound cold calls to secure appointments
  • Follow all company directives regarding the National Do Not Call List and the Privacy Act


  • Use precise scripts provided by the dealership when responding to guest inquiries and issues to satisfy the dealership and manufacturer goals
  • Project a warm and helpful approach while answering queries and providing general or related vehicle sales and service information
  • Maintain and communicate to our guests a high level of product and inventory expertise
  • Maintain knowledge of and communicate sales specials and promotions
  • Work together with other Sales & Service BDC Representatives in a team-based atmosphere
  • Communicate with dealership management or front-line workers on behalf of guests
  • Attend departmental and dealership meetings; perform additional tasks as directed by management
  • Other duties as assigned


Compensation

Business Development Representatives should expect earnings in excess of $31,200 annually. Salary is $16,800.00 per year with a draw of $14,400.00 per year; paidsemi-monthly on the 10th and 25th of each month.


Full commission structure, bonus opportunity, vacation time and employee benefits will be shared during interview process upon request.
