- Maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining vehicles
- Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completingpreventive maintenancesuch as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheelbalancing, replacingfilters, brake replacements, spark plugs, wheel bearings, fuel systems, and sensors
- Test systems and individual parts to ensure proper working order and/or to evaluate degreeof damage
- Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints;conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systemsmalfunctions; replacingparts and components
- Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems
- Complies withstate vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustioncontrol standards
- Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs
- Keeps shop equipmentoperatingby following operating instructions;troubleshooting breakdowns;maintainingsupplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
- Containscosts by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options
- Updates job knowledge byparticipatingin educational opportunities; readingtechnical publications
- Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Requirements
Service Technician (2 years Minimum)
High school diploma or GED
Basic Computer skills
Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
Team player
Must have a valid driver’s license
Complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening
