Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care by feeding, watering, and monitoring the health and behavior of animals
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by disinfecting kennels, cages, and common areas
- Safely handle animals using proper restraint techniques to minimize stress and prevent injury
- Watch for signs of illness or distress and promptly report concerns to veterinary staff
- Keep accurate records of animal care and any observations
- Follow safety protocols, including heavy lifting requirements, to ensure a secure environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kennel or animal care facility is preferred
- Strong skills in animal handling are required
- Experience in client service is a plus, especially for interacting with pet owners
- Knowledge of animal care standards, safety procedures, and sanitation practices
- Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, physically capable, and dedicated to providing high-quality pet care
