Extended Day Staff
JOB SUMMARY
Extended Day Staff lead and work with groups of 15-20 children in grades JK-6. Staff ensure the safety of the children as they take them through a schedule of activities that includes: computers, homework, arts & crafts, outdoor activities, and more.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Oversee planned activities for a group of students ensuring the safety of all children in the program.
- Will serve a scheduled snack to students.
- Ability to work with staff, students and families from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the School’s discretion.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in an after school setting or working with school age children preferred.
- Must have a positive attitude and will serve as a role model to program participants.
OTHER INFORMATION
- A criminal history and background check is required and must be successfully completed.
- Ability to work during the summer camps is preferred.
- Work primarily in a traditional climate controlled office environment.
- Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Be able to occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
