QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Must be experienced in working with groups of children and have leadership qualities necessary for the effective management of students. This person must be courteous, respectful, and protect the privacy of students and parents. Behavior and dress must be professional. This person must demonstrate a positive and helpful attitude, be creative and detail oriented, maintain documentation, work cooperatively with school personnel, have good written and verbal communication skills, effectively follow and give direction, and use good judgement in decision making.
PHYSICAL/EMOTIONAL DEMANDS: Must be able to see, hear, and move quickly enough to provide for the safety and instructional needs of children. Must be physically interactive throughout the day (i.e. be able to stand for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, do light lifting, push, pull). Must have emotional coping skills appropriate for the management of student, staff, and parent behavior. Must tolerate environmental smells and substances commonly associated with children and educational institutions.
PRIMARY DUTIES: The person in this position assist the director in the site specific operations of the Extended School Program and services to children and parents.

Essential Job Functions
- Adhere to ESP policies and Murfreesboro City Schools policies
- Assist with student disciplinary issues and communicate problems to the director
- Speaking with parents regarding student discipline when the director is not present
- Review and correct staff weekly lesson plans
- Assist in the training of new staff hires
- Demonstrate flexibility in working other job positions when necessary (caller/staff/curbside)
- Be available to work opening hours if needed
- Be available to attend all ESP parent nights and school events
- Supervise field trips when the director is not present
- Assume all director responsibilities when the director is not present
- Ensure that personal weekly hours do not exceed 29.5 hours
- Administer medicine to children when the director is not present and follow medicine administration policy
- Assist with completing daily payment log
- Assist with ensuring all staff have group rosters each day
- Other duties as assigned
- Schedule staff to work
- Review and approve time sheets
- Approve requests for leave
- Cancel enrichment classes without the director's permission
- Discipline staff
