What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)
- Assist and prepare tax research.
- Assist and prepare indirect tax returns, including quarterly estimated payments and extensions.
- Assist external tax advisors by preparing federal and state tax return schedules, including any related work papers.
- Assist with Identifying tax planning opportunities which includes nexus studies, recommend strategies for process improvement to reduce compliance risk and administrative burdens.
- Support and assist with tax audits and notices.
- Support year‑end tax provisions, provisional tax calculations, and related work papers.
- Position most often functions as an information provider but also acts as a decision maker.
- Perform other job-related responsibilities and duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 2 years’ experience in finance, accounting, and tax.
- Intermediate knowledge of tax laws and accounting principles.
- Experience with tax research and tax preparation.
- Intermediate or higher proficiency level with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interpersonal skills including effective collaboration and communication.
- Organized, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines with short time leads and high-pressured environments while effectively prioritizing workload.
