Overview:
A small Roanoke litigation firm seeks a self-directed and detail-oriented new team member to assist with case management. We would prefer someone with experience as paralegal or legal assistant to cover reception tasks, intakes, administration of liens and medical records, and other litigation support tasks. We will also consider people who have not worked in a law office but have an interest in this profession and enjoy learning new skills and taking on increasing responsibility. The right person will be positive, reliable, and adaptable, someone who likes learning new systems, communicates respectfully with the public and co-workers, and prefers to work with a small team that strives for excellence and accountability in a litigation practice focused on results.
Duties will include:
- Client communication, information gathering, answering calls
- Obtaining and organizing medical records, bills, and lien information in a timely manner
- Organized scanning and management of case materials
- Drafting correspondence and discovery and proofreading legal documents
- Other litigation support tasks as necessary
Job Type: Full-time
