Overview
We are seeking an experienced Patient Scheduling/Insurance Coordinator to join our well established private dental office. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and support throughout their dental journey. The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, obtaining insurance information, presenting treatment plans, patient/insurance billing and collecting copays.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and update personal and/or insurance information.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments while managing calendars effectively.
- Check patients out after their appointment, including accurately scheduling follow-up appointments, estimating & collecting copays, presenting treatment plans and filing insurance claims
- Acquire and verify insurance information from patients and insurance companies
- Answering phone calls including scheduling appointments and other patient communication
- Patient billing, account resolution and collections
- Insurance claim and pre-authorization submissions and follow-up
- Processing insurance payments and Coordination of Benefits
Qualifications
- Postive, fun, and energetic attitude with a compassionate demeanor.
- One year or more of dental office experience preferred.
- Knowledge in using Dentrix dental software, Dexis imaging and Microsoft office software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Abitlity to handle multiple tasks with good time management
- High integrity and a team player mentality
