Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their needs, emphasizing product features and benefits.
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories to enhance customer understanding.
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising products to maximize sales potential.
- Upsell complementary products and promote ongoing promotions to increase sales volume.
- Provide clear phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders over the phone.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail space, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is essential.
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team collaboration.
- Ability to conduct product demos confidently while educating customers about product effects and usage.
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively.
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette for engaging with customers both in-store and remotely.
- Knowledge of retail math for cash register operations, cash drawer handling, and accurate transaction processing.
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, and maintaining retail store product knowledge is beneficial.
- Basic math skills for managing cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory counts.
- Prior grocery store or similar retail experience will be advantageous for understanding customer service expectations in fast-paced environments.
