We are seeking a skilled and client-focused Audio Visual Technician to join our growing production team.

Position Overview

As an Audio Visual Technician at Multimedia Audio Visual, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and teardown of AV equipment across hotels, conference centers, corporate offices, outdoor venues, and specialty event environments. You will work closely with Project Managers, Lead Technicians, and clients to ensure flawless execution.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires flexibility, professionalism, technical proficiency, and strong customer service skills. Early mornings, late nights, weekends, and travel may be required.

Core Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and strike AV equipment including audio consoles, microphones, speakers, projectors, screens, switchers, lighting systems, and pipe & drape.
• Perform pre-event checks, verify signal paths, troubleshoot issues, and monitor systems during live events.
• Collaborate with onsite venue staff, clients, exhibitors, and internal teams to ensure all technical needs are met.
• Maintain equipment accuracy, handle gear responsibly, and support warehouse organization and inventory control.
• Execute time-sensitive load-in/load-out processes while coordinating with other event vendors and trades.
• Provide outstanding customer service with clear communication, professionalism, and a solutions-first mindset.
• Safely lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in live events, audiovisual production, or related technical fields.
• Proficiency with audio systems (Allen & Heath, Yamaha, QSC), wireless microphones, speakers, and signal flow.
• Experience with video switchers, projectors, screens, DSMs, and PC/Mac playback systems.
• Working knowledge of HDMI/SDI systems; lighting or basic rigging experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks associated with event production.
• Professional appearance and strong client-facing demeanor.
