What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Manager - Channels/Telco position at Multilink?
Multilink is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager for our Channels / Telco sales department. This position is responsible for all sales functions within the broadband / telecom industry. The ideal candidate will have experience with Channel / Distribution Sales, direct customer and distribution interface. Candidate will have working knowledge of Broadband fiber networks and product applications.
**While this position will be considered "Remote" your home will be your base but occasional travel within your region will be required.
Regions are as follows:
Midwest - KY, OH, MN, WI, IL, IN, MI
Responsibilities:
- Developing and rapidly growing new business and accounts leveraging the complete Multilink offering
- Ability to actualize solutions selling / up-selling
- Identifying, qualifying, and capturing sales opportunities by meeting with distribution partners, customers, performing market research, and ultimately presenting advanced integrated sales, offering Multilink broadband product applications and solutions
- Continuous touch with Distribution Partners – Product Training, Joint Sales calls to identify, target and effect sales
- Strong sales acumen with value selling and negotiating potential opportunities and projects
- Strategic in defining target accounts and successful discovery approaches to command a position of thought leader/expert
- Drives for sales results and overcomes objections with engineered solutions
- Strong collaborator with both sales team, other company departments, and externally
- Adaptable
- Experienced in understanding market trends and ability to advise on and adjust quickly to follow those trends
- Strong organizational skills
- Experienced at achieving sales objectives and quotas through a team
- Experience with CRM as a sales tool
- Ability to travel with sales representatives locally or long distance
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications:
- Experience in the broadband industry – Distribution, Manufacturing
- Minimum 3 years in direct sales – ability to travel
- Experienced working with a channel distribution team, telecommunications
- Ability to develop and present comprehensive sales proposals
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM
- Ability to obtain a comprehensive understanding of technical products and applications
Education:
- Two- or Four-year degree - communication, marketing, engineering or technology related fields strongly preferred. High School Diploma required.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent traveling (Up to 50%)
- Moderate pressure to meet customer and company deadlines
- General office hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Ability to provide support during and outside regular business may be needed.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
