Job Summary
Job Summary
General Classroom Support - Middle School • Assist general education and resource teachers in implementing differentiated learning experiences within an inclusive environment to support all students. • Deliver instruction using various modalities (e.g., small group, learning centers, co-teaching) to promote academic growth. • Support students in meeting academic, social-emotional, and behavioral goals, and reinforce their progress through consistent strategies. • Reinforce instruction using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, such as scaffolding, guided practice, and student choice. • Monitor student academic progress through regular data collection and documentation. • Support students in accessing and utilizing educational tools, resources, and adaptive equipment as needed to enhance learning. • Support students in using educational tools, resources, and adaptive equipment as needed. • Participate in professional development opportunities (e.g., grade-level planning, school-wide trainings, staff development) in support of MLC’s inclusive education model and to assist instructional staff. • Proactively respond to student needs and situations with a sense of urgency, care, and accountability. • Uphold and model school-wide behavior standards (caring, safety, responsibility, respect, and tolerance) while supervising students. • Promote the development of students’ social-emotional competencies through positive engagement and guidance. • Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and specialists using strong interpersonal communication skills. • Demonstrate openness to feedback, reflection, and continuous improvement. • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee. Specialized Support • Assist the Resource Team in compiling information on students' present levels of performance (PLP) and collaborate in developing goals for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). • Input IEP information into the Wellige

Qualifications • Bachelor's degree (BA) preferred, or currently enrolled as a junior or senior university student, and/or equivalent schooling and experience working with students in an educational setting. • Experience working with and motivating groups of children while maintaining school standards. • A desire to serve children. • Bilingual in Spanish and English. • Employment contingent upon clearance of Live Scan and TB test results
