About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team at a well-maintained affordable housing community in Louisburg, Kansas. This is a full-time, hands-on position responsible for ensuring that all apartment homes, common areas, and building systems are safe, functional, and well cared for.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and has strong technical skills across multiple trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete resident service requests promptly and with high-quality workmanship
- Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance systems
- Prepare apartments for new move-ins, including make-ready and unit turn processes
- Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections throughout the property
- Assist in maintaining the community’s grounds, common areas, and curb appeal
- Coordinate with the Property Manager and vendors to complete specialized or large-scale projects
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records in an organized, safe manner
Qualifications
- 3 years of apartment or multifamily maintenance experience
- EPA-certified HVAC technician (required)
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Must have own tools and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform maintenance tasks indoors and outdoors
- Positive, professional attitude and commitment to resident satisfaction
