Role Description The Commercial Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Mullinax Ford 7 locations. This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial accounts by building strong relationships with business customers, understanding their vehicle and fleet needs, and providing tailored solutions. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying commercial leads, preparing proposals and bids, coordinating test drives and vehicle demonstrations, and guiding customers through the sales and financing process. The Commercial Account Manager will collaborate with internal teams such as sales, finance, service, and parts to ensure seamless delivery, upfitting coordination, and ongoing account support. The role also includes handling customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, tracking account performance, and maintaining accurate records in CRM and dealership systems to support long-term customer satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

  • Strong account management skills, including managing a portfolio of commercial clients, maintaining detailed records, and ensuring ongoing account satisfaction.
  • Proven customer service skills with a focus on responsiveness, problem-solving, and building long-term, trust-based relationships.
  • Experience or familiarity with insurance considerations related to commercial vehicles and fleets, including coverage requirements and documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present solutions clearly to business owners, fleet managers, and decision-makers.
  • Sales skills with demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify leads, negotiate, and close commercial deals while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Prior experience in automotive, fleet, or B2B sales is preferred; dealership or commercial vehicle experience is a plus.
  • Comfort using CRM systems, dealership management software, and basic office applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations).
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site dealership environment.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; ability to conduct
