Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting on diesel engines and related components
- Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, and inspections to ensure equipment reliability.
- Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and electrical components
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and parts used
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices
- Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operation
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain workflow efficiency
- Respond to emergency service calls when needed
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Experienced Diesel Tech with at least 5years of heavy-duty repair, preventative maintenance and service.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation including Cummins Engines, John Deere, GMC , Ford and small engines and tractors-trailers.
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge on the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and Western Star Chassis
- Certifications related to mechanics are a plus
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
