Job Summary
We’re looking for a friendly, highly organized, Bilingual Human Resources Assistant to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who has great communication skills, is able to work at a fast-paced office environment and will help HR operations run smoothly.
As a key member of our HR team, you’ll be a first point of contact for employees and applicants, assist with recruitment and onboarding, and help maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for employees, applicants, and visitors
- Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and friendly manner
- Scan new hire documents
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee files and HR documentation
- Answer basic questions about HR policies, benefits, and hiring processes
- Assist with new employee orientation and onboarding
- Support recruitment efforts, including scheduling, background checks, and offer preparation
- Escalate complex issues to senior HR staff or the Director of HR
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be bilingual
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in an HR administrative or similar role
- Familiarity with employment and labor laws
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
