Counter Sales

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while assisting with their Hardware/construction needs. You will utilize your knowledge of construction to effectively communicate with customers and fulfill their orders, ensuring a positive experience at our store.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding building supplies.
• Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and order fulfillment.
• Maintain an organized stockroom and ensure that inventory levels are adequate for customer demands.
• Handle phone inquiries professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while addressing customer needs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations at the counter and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
• Assist in training new staff members on retail sales techniques and product knowledge as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in sales is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in processing transactions.
• Familiarity with retail sales practices and customer service excellence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking sales data and inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
