The Mukilteo Education Association is an independent, self-governing union for 1,100 certificated members in the Mukilteo School District. The Association purpose is to advance the interests of the profession, to bargain collectively, and to promote the cause of public education in the Mukilteo School District, the State of Washington, and nationally.

The Mukilteo Education Association is seeking applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant. A job description is included below.

Location & Demographics
The Mukilteo Education Association (MEA) is located in Mukilteo and serves 1,100 plus members. The MEA Office is located in the Sterling Business Park in Mukilteo. The office staff consists of the MEA President and Administrative Assistant.
Responsibilities
· Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office.
· Exhibit polite, professional, and confidential communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
· Support association by performing administrative/clerical tasks related to organization.
· Collect, record, and maintain information pertaining to membership dues, dues status; provide reports as necessary.
· Prepare monthly billing of membership for District payroll and dues process.
· Maintain financial records for the association; compiling and maintaining records of office business transactions.
· Prepares financial reports, bank reconciliations, and deposits as required.
· Coordinate and prepare documents for the annual audit, regulatory and tax filings, and other reports as needed.
· Maintain association website.
Job Requirements
· Associate Degree or relevant experience.
· Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task.
· Administrative, bookkeeping, or equivalent experience; competence with computerized accounting software (QuickBooks)
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Ability to keep association information confidential.
Salary, Time, and Benefits
The Mukilteo Education Association offers a competitive salary and benefit package, as well as the ability to coordinate a flexible work schedule.
Salary range: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience. Based on the time commitment outlined below, this is an annual salary of: $39,900 - $51,300
Time: We are negotiable on working hours. The expected time commitment is based on 190 six-hour workdays starting mid-August through the last day of school for the Mukilteo School District. During the school year, days off/ holidays are based on the Mukilteo School District Holidays/No School Schedule. The contract includes four-hours per week during summer break.
