We’re looking for a Bartender/Bar Server to join our team and help us deliver an exceptional bar experience for our guests. If you love mixing drinks, creating memorable experiences, and have a passion for great hospitality, we want you on our team!

We’re specifically looking to hire night and weekend shifts, so you must be able to work Wednesday-Thursday 4pm-9:30pm and Friday-Saturday 4:00 pm- 10:30 pm

Position Overview

As the daytime bartender/bar seever at Muertos Cantina, you’ll be the life of the party and the backbone of our bar operations. You’ll craft delicious cocktails, manage the bar area, and provide personalized service to our guests. Beyond mixing drinks, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked, all while keeping the energy up and providing friendly, engaging service that keeps our guests coming back for more.

We are transitioning from fast casual to full service and have a new additive free agave bar program that we're excited to roll out.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft Cocktails: Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty cocktails, margaritas, and Mexican-inspired drinks, with a focus on quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Guest Interaction: Engage with guests at the bar, providing excellent service, taking drink orders, and making recommendations based on preferences. Create a friendly, fun, and energetic atmosphere for guests.
• Bar Maintenance: Ensure that the bar area is always clean, organized, and well-stocked. This includes maintaining cleanliness of glassware, tools, countertops, and the bar floor. Clean and sanitize the bar area at the start and end of your shift.
• Inventory Management: Monitor the bar inventory, restock supplies, and communicate with management to ensure that we never run out of essential ingredients. Be proactive about anticipating needs during busy shifts.
• Customer Experience: Provide personalized service by remembering regulars’ drink preferences and making guests feel welcome and valued. Handle guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and empathy.
• Order Accuracy: Accurately process drink orders and ensure that all alcohol and beverage service complies with legal and safety regulations, including checking IDs when necessary.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the waitstaff and other front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service and coordination. Help other team members as needed, especially during busy periods.
• Up-Selling & Promotions: Use your knowledge of the menu and drink offerings to upsell and promote specials, helping to drive revenue while ensuring guests have a great experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Passion for Service: A friendly, outgoing personality with a true passion for hospitality. You enjoy making guests feel special and love building relationships.
• Cocktail Knowledge: Familiarity with classic cocktails and a willingness to learn and create new, exciting drinks. Bonus points if you’re experienced with Mexican-inspired cocktails!
• Team-Oriented: Ability to work efficiently with other bartenders, servers, and the management team in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail, ensuring every drink is prepared and served with precision and care.
• Communication Skills: Clear communication with both guests and team members to ensure smooth service and a positive guest experience.
• Physical Stamina: The ability to stand for long periods and carry out physically demanding tasks while staying focused and positive during busy shifts.
• Previous Experience: Prior bartending experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn go a long way.
