Maintenance Technician, Food Production Packaging Line | Evening Shift 2pm-11pm M-F

Muenster Milling is expanding! We are hiring for a dedicated and semi-experienced EVENING Maintenance Technician at our Freeze-Dried facility in Denton, TX. The successful candidate is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting industrial and production equipment in the production facility including service of electrical and mechanical systems; maintenance of production equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds; and compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Coordinates with managers and contractors engaged in the repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and/or equipment. The position is also responsible for partnering with production management to proactively address issues or challenges and equipment needs to reduce potential downtime and schedule repairs accordingly.

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time hourly position that will primarily support our Packaging Room expansion. Shift scheduled 2pm-11pm. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays is required per production schedule.

Training Schedule will be daytime 7:00am-4:00pm for at least 2 weeks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Actively works with the team on all maintenance, troubleshooting, start-ups, inspections, installation and repair of machinery and equipment while ensuring alignment with continuous improvements efforts to ensure an effective and expedited workflow.
• Ensure effective prioritization of projects to maintain production including urgent repairs; preventive maintenance program; identifying and qualifying contractors; and ensuring necessary inventory, handling, and care of tools and equipment.
• Maintain proper functioning of refrigeration systems, compressed air, hot water, treated water, and other systems.
• Regular evaluates and assesses equipment performance, gauges, and instruments, to adjust mechanisms as needed; proactively identify potential failures; and improve effectiveness.
• Engages with, proactively communicates to, and supports managers of the company to ensure partnership to constantly maintain an environment of coordination and collaboration to achieve company goals.
• Timely and accurately maintains documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports.
• Conducts research and analysis of maintenance improvements to make suggestions for continuous improvement.

Experience and Education:

• A minimum of 3 years working experience in Industrial Maintenance
• 2 years experience with troubleshooting commercial manufacturing equipment (PLCs, high-speed packaging line, food production machinery)
• Vocational, Trade School or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related field highly preferred
