Job description:
- We have openings on both our 3pm to 11 pm and 11pm to 7 am shifts. Shift premium $.35/hr. on afternoon shift and $.40/hr. on midnight shift.

- Reads method sheet for specific instructions of job responsibilities
- Using micrometers to measure rod as required
- Works with Press operator/Asmag operator to coordinate production needs
- Moving material with overhead crane into proper locations
- Pickling straight rod to appropriate method
- Records downtime on downtime cards as required.
- Operates hand truck and/or forklift to move material to and from required areas.
- Bands and stretch wrap boxed product for casting area.
- Moves stock between areas in the rod mill and casting.
- Drives truck and controls movement of lifting apparatus to transport various materials to designated areas.
- Supplies workers with materials as needed.
- Stages material in designated floor and rack locations.
- Performs custodial work for the department.
- Adjusts controls on equipment to regulate pressure, air, saw blades.
- Examines rod to ensure conformance to standards.
- Examines surface of work piece to verify removal of dirt, oil and scale.
- Requests material to be transferred to inspection/audit area if required
- Helping manual bundler
- Maintains work area to acceptable housekeeping standards.
- Quality and productivity standards are expected to be met at all times.
