Facilities Engineer Key Responsibilities: System Design & Optimization: Design and implement upgrades or modifications to facility infrastructure to meet production demands. Evaluate and improve energy efficiency and resource utilization. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all facility operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental, health, and safety standards. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety improvements for equipment and infrastructure. Project Management: Plan and execute facility-related projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with contractors and vendors. Provide technical support for new equipment installations and facility expansions. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Lead troubleshooting efforts for facility equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions. Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of facility systems, equipment manuals, and maintenance schedules. Prepare regular reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and energy usage. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in facilities engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or foundry environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software and facility management systems. Strong understanding of foundry processes and associated facility requirements. Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems. Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Facility Manager (CFM) preferred. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions: Exposure to high temperatures, noise, and dust in a foundry environment. May require standing, walking, and climbing for extended periods. Occasional after-hours work for emergency repairs or maintenance. Other Compensation & Benefits: Mueller offers an excellent salary and benefits package.
