Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure that tables are filled in an efficient manner.
- Take reservations and maintain an organized reservation system.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests.
Skills
- Previous Host/Host experience is preferred, along with a background in food service or hospitality.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in restaurant settings or hotels is a plus.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong phone etiquette skills for handling reservations and guest inquiries.
