Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations, and seat guests efficiently as a Host.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately, ensuring presentation standards are met while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Assist in food running duties by delivering dishes from the kitchen to tables safely and efficiently, utilizing safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items.
- Clear tables by bussing dishes and cleaning surfaces swiftly to prepare for the next guests while maintaining a tidy dining area through regular cleaning and sanitation.
- Handle manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of trays, boxes, or supplies following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Use POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and team members to coordinate food service, address guest needs, and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures during service and preparation.
- Support banquet or special event service when needed by assisting with setup, serving, or cleanup duties.
- Provide exceptional in-person customer service by engaging with guests positively, addressing inquiries professionally, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; culinary or banquet experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices.
- Experience operating POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail.
- Hospitality background with a focus on guest services is highly valued.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in a dynamic restaurant environment.
