Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations
• Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and explaining specials or beverage options with enthusiasm
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Process cash and credit transactions efficiently while handling cash safely and accurately
• Clear tables promptly after guests leave, bussing dishes and maintaining sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist in food running duties by delivering prepared dishes from the kitchen to tables swiftly and professionally
• Support bartenders by preparing beverages during busy hours, including spirits-based drinks and wine service
• Maintain guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining atmosphere

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service roles such as server, host/hostess, busser, or food runner within a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred but not required
• Familiarity with POS systems including Toast, Aloha POS, or similar platforms for processing sales transactions preferred but not required
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures in the food industry
• Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume service periods while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest satisfaction
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and calculating bills or tips
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with team members and guests alike
