Responsibilities
- Assist with packing, loading, and unloading household or commercial items safely and efficiently
- Use proper lifting techniques to handle heavy furniture and boxes, ensuring safety for yourself and others
- Operate moving equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts when necessary
- Help organize items in trucks to maximize space and prevent damage during transit
- Collaborate with team members to execute moves promptly while maintaining high standards of customer service
- Ensure all belongings are secured properly during transport and handle special items with care
Requirements
- Prior experience in moving, warehouse work, or related manual labor roles is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in physically demanding environments with varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles; commercial driving experience is a plus
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is beneficial but not required
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment
