Purpose of Position: The Paint Zone Technician supports the Paint Department operations by ensuring that all activities within a designated paint zone are performed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality and all MTNA policies and procedures. This role includes preparing parts, maintaining equipment, monitoring paint quality, and supporting smooth production flow.

Anderson Paint - Technician 1st Shift $20.01
Purpose of Position: The Paint Zone Technician supports the Paint Department operations by ensuring that all activities within a designated paint zone are performed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality and all MTNA policies and procedures. This role includes preparing parts, maintaining equipment, monitoring paint quality, and supporting smooth production flow.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintains proper 5S throughout the department
- Performs periodic quality checks of parts in paint and assembly
- Maintains a safe working environment following company policies
- May be required to operate machinery if needed to maintain production
- Aware of consequences to the customer, environment, and the employee if procedures are not followed
- Communicate equipment issues to all relevant departments
- Monitor and evaluate equipment performance and correct issues with quality or productivity
- Focus on quality results of paint and develop a plan for improvement
- Provides training to new associates and continuous training within the department
- Addresses shop floor issues in an expedient manner
- Performs other functions as assigned
- Tracking outflow
- Overtime as required
- Previous experience in related field or manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Systems and continuous improvement orientation
- Quality orientated and attention to detail
- Problem analysis and resolution
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong sense of urgency
- Strong initiative to keep schedules and/or responses to customers as needed
- Lead and motivate in a positive manner
