Sandblaster

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sandblaster to join our production team. You will play a vital role in the manufacturing process by preparing trailer frames and components for finishing. Your work ensures that our trailers have the high-quality surface prep needed for long-lasting durability.

Key Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Remove dirt, mill scale, rust, welding slag, and grease from steel surfaces using high-pressure sandblasting equipment.
• Equipment Operation: Set up and operate blast booth equipment; load and unload blast pots and monitor abrasive media levels.
• Production Support: Assist with painting or prepping tasks as needed to keep the production line moving.
• Safety & PPE: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and wear all required protective gear, including air-supplied hoods and blast suits.
• Material Handling: Use fork trucks or overhead cranes to move heavy trailer frames into the blast bay safely.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Experience: Previous sandblasting experience or training is required. Experience working with or removing heavy metals is a plus.
• Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with power tools and mechanical equipment.
• Licensing: Fork truck driving experience is required.
• Language: Bilingual skills are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
