Wage Range: $80,000-100,000 annual discretionary bonus

Job Summary:

MTech Mechanical performs mechanical construction across various industries, from large ground-up buildings to complex renovations, as well as ongoing service and equipment repairs. Plumbing Service focuses on smaller, short-duration projects and time and material services.

The Plumbing Service Account Manager is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and responsible for projects from inception through completion. This includes client development, design leadership, estimating, and project management. The SAM is encouraged to support our commercial and special projects teams with the client relationships they create. You’ll blend technical know-how with strong relationship skills — making sure clients get solutions that work, and allowing MTech to be ‘asked back’.

Key Responsibilities:

General:

  • Participate in ongoing training and development

Business Development:

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales and gross margin targets
  • Develop and maintain client relationships (owners, property managers, end users)
  • Understand project needs and develop appropriate solutions
  • Create conceptual budgets and detailed cost estimates with internal teams
  • Prepare and present detailed sales proposals
  • Price PMs, PM Renewals, and jobs timely, competitively and profitably
  • Review design documents for scope, feasibility, and constructability
  • Identify value engineering opportunities for cost, quality, and schedule improvements


Accounts and Project Management:

  • Maintain accurate client data in our CRM
  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout project lifecycle
  • Resolve issues with project teams during execution
  • Set and manage project goals, budgets, and schedules
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Conduct site visits for quality control, safety, and project tracking
  • Communicate effectively with field managers and stakeholders
  • Oversee procurement, submittals, invoicing, and accounts receivable
  • Track project costs and scope trends
  • Manage close-out activities including training, documentation, and warranties
  • Forecast manpower, revenue, and margins
  • Ensure compliance with MTech’s project management procedures


Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in service sales or related field with proven client performance
  • Clean driving record that meets MTech’s driving standards
  • Experience in plumbing design, estimating, and construction strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and construction practices
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience (Unanet) a plus, and Bluebeam/Adobe PDF
  • A true team player who collaborates well across departments

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This position takes place in a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 20% of the time. The work environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are reasonable. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available and used daily, such as computers, printers, etc.
