Mt. Juliet Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and team-oriented High School Assistant Soccer Coach to support the development of our student-athletes in a Christ-centered athletic program. Position Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the high school soccer program
- Support planning and execution of practices, training sessions, and game strategies
- Work directly with student-athletes to develop technical skills, fitness, and game understanding
- Help foster a positive, disciplined, and Christ-centered team culture
- Provide mentorship and spiritual encouragement to student-athletes
- Assist with game-day operations, scouting, and film review (if applicable)
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and coaching staff
- Ensure compliance with school policies and athletic guidelines
- Assist with equipment management and program organization
Qualifications
- Previous soccer playing and/or coaching experience preferred
- Experience working with high school-aged students strongly preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
- Demonstrates a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- Commitment to the mission and values of Mt. Juliet Christian Academy
- Ability to pass background checks and meet school employment requirements
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Preferred Attributes
- Prior experience in a Christian school or faith-based athletic program
- Knowledge of high school athletic structure and expectations (including Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association guidelines)
- Ability to disciple and mentor student-athletes
- Strong work ethic and willingness to support the Head Coach in all areas
Time Commitment
- Seasonal position aligned with the high school soccer schedule
- Practices and games held after school hours
- Evening and occasional weekend commitments required
Compensation
- Coaching stipend based on experience and school guidelines
Salary : $1,000 - $10,000
