Assistant Program Manager
Job Description:
The responsibility of the Assistant Program Manager is to assist the Program Manager(s) in developing, promoting, and implementing Mt. Gilead sponsored events. This position develops and maintains a strong connection with the community Mt. Gilead serves. Christian character, enthusiasm, team unity, professionalism, and a positive attitude are essential. Must be outgoing, friendly, and encouraging with exceptional integrity and an ability to nurture staff and volunteers.
Classification: Part-time, bi-weeky
Responsible To: Program Manager(s)
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license
Management/leadership experience preferred
College degree with biblical course work preferred.
Vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ called by God to the ministry of Mt. Gilead.
Maintain a high view of Scripture.
Ability to participate in a team approach ministry.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to communicate with a variety of age groups
Posses a calm, clear minded demeanor, particularly in high stress situations
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift and carry 50 pounds
Able to work on their feet for 8 hour shifts
Responsibilities:
Develop vision for reaching more campers and guests for Christ through public relations and programming Mt. Gilead events.
Develop public relations with churches, Christian schools, and other Christian organizations, making personal visits and pursuing opportunities to address people.
Develop and implement Mt. Gilead year-round InFaith programs and events.
Supervise camp during Mt. Gilead/InFaith programs.
Recruit and interview potential staff and volunteers.
Train, lead and disciple summer staff and volunteers.
Responsible for the safety and welfare of the camper in relation to programs and recreation elements.
Serve Guest Group rentals as necessary.
Work in collaboration with the marketing department regarding web and social media communications.
Additional Notes:
Room and board is provided for this position. This position is required to live onsite for the duration of employment unless an alternative situation has been previously approved by the hiring manager. This position is able to partake in all meals provided by Mt. Gilead’s kitchen services for the duration of the individual’s employment.
