Description:Join us at Mt. Diablo BBQ - Coming soon to Lafayette! The Cook is responsible for ensuring that company standards are being met in the non-customer facing areas of our restaurant. Our Cooks play an essential role in delighting every guest.Our Cook's starting hourly rate is $18 - $23/hr. We estimate that our team members will average $9/hr in tips through our tip pool (in addition to hourly wage).Key Responsibilities:Trim and prepare meat (including seasoning)Place meat in the smokers to company procedureWorking knowledge of ingredients to prepare (including sides, recipes, etc)Prepare and plate food according to our menu specifications and ticket ordersEnsure freshness and quality of ingredientsWash dishes, glassware, silverware, and cookwareEnsure that kitchen items remained stocked throughout the shiftFollow company food safety and sanitation policies and proceduresMaintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areasDeliver food and beverages in a timely mannerProvide excellent customer serviceEnsure total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurantPerform other related duties and tasks as assignedRequirements:Position Requirements:Strong attention to detailAble to use knives and kitchen equipmentAble to thrive in a fast-paced environmentAble to work well in a team environmentAble to workdays, nights, and/or weekends and holidaysAble to walk or stand for long periods
