Bookkeeper / Office Manager
Location: 104 N Columbus Ave Goldendale, WA 98620Employment Type: Part time to start, Full-Time after Training period.
About the Position
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and self-motivated Bookkeeper / Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial operations for both our construction company and our property management business. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, is detail-oriented, and takes ownership of their work.
Experience with QuickBooks and Payroll services is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and has strong computer skills.
ResponsibilitiesConstruction Company
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Record and reconcile all financial transactions.
- Create and send customer invoices.
- Track incoming payments and manage company cash flow.
- Pay vendors and maintain organized financial records.
- Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining payroll records.
- Process quarterly Workers' Compensation reports and payments.
- Prepare and pay excise taxes and other required business taxes.
- Renew business licenses, permits, and vehicle registrations.
- Make business-related errands, including bank deposits, post office runs, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Responsible for general bookkeeping and office administration.
Property Management
- Receive, record, and deposit tenant rent payments.
- Maintain accurate tenant payment records.
- Pay utility bills and other property-related expenses.
- Make bank deposits and complete post office and other business errands as needed.
- Assist with bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping for multiple properties.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or office management experience.
- Experience in construction or property management.
- Prior Office Administration Experience is a plus.
Required Skills:
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality with financial information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional business errands.

Compensation
