As structural engineering lead, you'll have significant autonomy and ownership over structural projects under the mentorship of the principal while collaborating with our experienced civil engineering, surveying, and planning teams. You'll work on a diverse mix of projects—from residential and commercial wood frame structures to steel, concrete, and masonry buildings. Your expertise will directly influence the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients. As we continue to grow, you'll have the opportunity to help hire and mentor additional structural staff, building the structural department from the ground up according to your vision and our firm's values. Required Qualifications
-Professional Engineer (PE) license
-Minimum 6 years of experience in structural design of wood frame construction
-Working knowledge of steel, concrete, and masonry design
-Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD
-Experience with structural analysis software (RISA, RAM Elements, or similar platforms)
-Excellence in written and verbal communication
-Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and projects independently
-Strong understanding of applicable building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, NDS, ACI, AISC)
Preferred Qualifications
-Structural Engineer (SE) license
-Experience with mass timber design and construction
-Proven track record in business development and client acquisition
-Interest in building and leading a structural engineering team as the firm grows
-Experience establishing technical standards, procedures, or quality control processes
-Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineering talent
