Job Description
Join our team as a Structural Engineer, where you will work under minimal supervision to produce design drawings and prepare related calculations. This role involves assignments of moderate complexity that require a solid understanding of engineering principles and Aluma Systems products. You will also review and approve application drawings prepared by others.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve detailed application drawings to ensure compliance with corporate standards and local regulatory and safety requirements.
- Prepare drawings utilizing Aluma Products independently.
- Complete and accurate engineering calculations for various projects.
- Provide assistance and feedback to detailers on design issues and devise solutions to complex problems.
- Monitor work schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Provide technical support to the sales force and customers.
- Review and seal drawings for the entire west coast of the US.
- Learn from a lead mentor with 50 years of experience.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program.
- 5 years of experience in designing and running structural calculations analysis, specifically in forming and shoring.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for scaffolding and building design.
- Full knowledge of safety factors in scaffold design.
- Ability to perform and check complex calculations.
- Full knowledge of regulations and codes.
- Proficient in advanced CAD and 3D modeling skills using Revit.
- Skilled in nodal and finite element analysis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- PE license is ideal.
- Experience in structural design and analysis.
- Ability to conduct site inspections and obtain project information from site visits.
- Ability to train junior engineers and others.
- Experience in steel fabrication and erection.
Work Environment
The role involves occasional site inspections and limited travel of less than 5%. You will work with a dispersed team, requiring flexibility as workflow fluctuates, with peak periods occurring towards the end of the week. The company is recognized for its expertise in scaffolding systems for a range of projects, including high-rise buildings, historical restorations, infrastructure, and industrial maintenance.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $94000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
