Hiring: Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer
Location: Portland, OR 97217 (Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Pay Rate: $55.50/hour on W2 Benefits
MSR Technology Group has been recognized as an Inc. 500/5000 company for seven consecutive years. We are looking for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer to support manufacturing facility and capital equipment projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate manufacturing facility expansions and capital equipment installation projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project.
- Create and update manufacturing layouts using AutoCAD.
- Prepare equipment specifications, RFQs, scopes of work, and technical documentation.
- Track project budgets, costs, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, suppliers, contractors, and plant personnel.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and production launch activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of project engineering or project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with large capital equipment installations, such as conveyors, cranes, robotic systems, assembly equipment, or material handling systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and AutoCAD.
- Experience with RFQ development, equipment specifications, project scheduling, and budget tracking.
- Strong communication, organization, technical documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred: Experience with greenfield/brownfield manufacturing projects, equipment procurement, commissioning, and PMP certification.
