Mechanical Technician - III

Role Summary
This position supports the Interiors Engineering Development Lab and involves performing moderately complex technical tasks with minimal supervision. The role works closely with engineers to support the planning, build, and testing of commercial aircraft seating and interior components. Machining experience is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with engineers to build and test commercial aircraft seats and furniture.
• Provide technical and mechanical support to engineering teams.
• Assist with planning and execution of engineering projects in the development lab.
• Confer with engineers on test article builds, procedures, and test results.
• Machine small parts based on engineering drawings.
• Perform assembly and test article manufacturing activities.
• Use hand tools and basic mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree or equivalent technical education.
• Minimum of four years of related mechanical or engineering technician experience.
• Proficiency with a variety of hand tools and basic mechanical concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Basic computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated industry such as aerospace or automotive.
• Experience in testing and quality assurance environments.
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling software.
• Experience with metal machining and fabrication equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
