What are the responsibilities and job description for the Embedded Software Engineer position at MSR Technology Group?
This opportunity supports multiple projects within the Product Line Display Software organization, including:
- Display Head Software
- Touch Screen Software
Engineers begin each day with a team stand-up meeting. The team is currently working Saturdays to help bring the projects back on schedule.
Each engineer is assigned a defined scope of work, which may include developing test cases, writing test procedures, and executing verification activities. Daily responsibilities involve close collaboration with subject matter experts, requirements owners, test environment teams, and reviewers to develop, execute, review, and obtain approval for test artifacts. This role requires working with both onsite engineers and distributed teams, including the GETCI team in India.
Engineers will also execute and debug software running on embedded hardware in laboratory environments.
Required Qualifications (5 years of experience):
- DO-178C DAL A or DAL B requirements-based verification experience
- Low-level software integration and verification experience, including unit testing
- Embedded C development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field preferred; candidates without a STEM degree will be considered if they possess the required technical experience listed above.
Salary : $80 - $95
