ADAS Engineer

Location: Ann Arbor, MI — primarily onsite

Additional Location: Saline, MI — 1–2 days per week

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Pay Rate: $57/hour on W2 Benefits

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced ADAS Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and evaluation of next-generation Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for vehicle programs.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ADAS systems, vehicle ECU architecture, CAN/CAN-FD, system integration, testing, and automotive product development from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support ADAS system and component development from concept through Start of Production (SOP).
• Develop and manage part/system requirements, specifications, schedules, and milestones.
• Work with engineering teams and suppliers on ADAS requirements, testing, validation, and issue resolution.
• Support ADAS systems such as AEB, ACC, LKAS, PKSB, BSM, PVM, and BGM.
• Analyze CAN/CAN-FD data and support vehicle-level system integration and performance validation.
• Perform MIL/HIL/virtual testing and model-based simulation.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement countermeasures for vehicle/field issues.
• Apply quality tools such as DFMEA, DRBFM, and FTA.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, suppliers, and international development teams.
• Manage development risks related to performance, cost, quality, mass, and user experience.
• Participate in vehicle evaluation, testing, and manufacturing activities.
• Prepare technical presentations and communicate effectively with engineering leadership and senior management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of experience developing or supporting mid-size/large-scale ADAS systems.
• Experience with ADAS development from concept through production.
• Strong understanding of Vehicle ECU architecture, CAN, and CAN-FD.
• Experience with ADAS technologies such as AEB, ACC, LKAS, BSM, PVM, PKSB, or BGM.
• Experience working with suppliers on requirements and test specifications.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and field issue resolution.
• Experience with Python and/or C in ADAS/automotive development.
• Experience integrating hardware and software platforms and validating vehicle performance.
• Experience with MIL/HIL/virtual testing or model-based simulation.
• Strong communication, presentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Work Location Requirement

This is primarily an onsite position in Ann Arbor, MI. Candidates must be able to work onsite in Ann Arbor and travel to the Saline, MI site 1–2 days per week.
